Today, On June 20, 2019 ARF Armenian Youth Federation of Armenia’s “Alarm” initiative continues its sit-in in front of the Republic of Armenia National Assembly building. While speaking with Yerkir.am, members of the initiative stated that the sit-in was peaceful overnight with participants spending their time singing. In the morning, the sit-in continued with the same spirit. The participants will continue to monitor the second reading of the proposed tax reform bill, discussions and voting [which will take place in the Parliament].

During their sit-in in front of the National Assembly, participants of the initiative were able to express their views regarding the tax reform to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Members of the ARF Armenian Youth Federation of Armenia “Alarm” initiative area against the tax reform changes due to its proposed flat tax rate. The youth call for all individuals and organizations who are worried regarding these proposals to join them. This is simply one of the initiative’s call-to-actions that have taken place over the last few months.
